About Naadam festival

Naadam is a traditional festival in Mongolia. The festival is also locally termed “the three games of men”. The games are Mongolian wrestling, horse racing, and archery and are held throughout the country during midsummer. Mongolian famous wrestlers will be wresting at the local stadium. The next day there will be horse racing outside of the town. Riders will be between 8-13 years old kids and they will be racing 30KM long.

In 2010, Naadam was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO.

NAADAM FESTIVAL LASTS FOR 2 DAYS:

1st Day

• Opening ceremony
• Traditional concert
• Mongolian wrestling part 1
• Mongolian Archery

2nd Day

• 2 years old horse racing
• 3 years old horse racing
• 5 years old horse racing
• Push Cashy Kazakh adventure horseback game
• 6 Years old horse racing
• Mongolian wrestling part 2

11th and 12th of July ( Please ask a local agency before booking any tours as dates can be changed)
